Service Description

This Props workshop is designed specifically for the motion picture and television industry and is designed for all individuals with basic fundamental experience working in the Properties Department. This course is a fun and interactive way to learn effective practices and standardized work habits in the world of Props (off set). Whether you are refreshing your knowledge or just starting out in the industry, this course is great for veterans and beginners alike. Tuition: $300 per student +fees Fees include 5% GST, 3% Online Processing Students with IATSE 891 Memberships may be eligible for partial course reimbursement. Concepts Covered: Communications - General office communications, paperwork and communication tools and technologies. Safety - Personal well-being, film safety including set and office safety. Workflow - Attitudes and expectations, aging/greeking and prepping props for set, acquisition and organization of props prior to and after camera. Organization - Time management, continuity of props, script breakdowns and prop approvals.


Cancellation Policy

Workshops and classes are non-refundable. When applicable, students may request a course credit that may be applied to a future date. All credit requests must be made prior to 10 days preceding enrolled class date.
